Sr Dir, Ultrasound Venture Management

The Sr. Director, Ultrasound Venture Management is an intra/entrepreneurial leadership role within a highly experienced and mature organization. S/he is responsible for expanding the application of Ultrasound to new users / uses with customized / "intelligent" solutions. The Sr. Director, Ultrasound Venture Management will lead and develop a strong, dynamic team that can both ideate and execute on aggressive goals for new venture solutions.


In this role you will be in an intra/entrepreneurial leadership role within a highly experienced and mature organization. You are responsible for rapidly growing the application of Ultrasound to new users / uses with customized / "intelligent" solutions. You will lead and develop a strong, dynamic team that can both ideate and execute on bold goals for new venture solutions.


**Responsibilities**


+ The Sr. Director, Ultrasound Venture Management will drive the identification, understanding and translation of business opportunities into a strong strategic plan that is both highly innovative and achievable. S/he will be responsible for defining and handling the budgets for the Venture, setting/hitting key breakthroughs, and driving the team's capabilities needed to deliver.

+ You will work with senior leadership within the Ultrasound Business Group and with other Philips Business Groups (BGs) (in particular PCMS) and Philips Corporate Research to develop a robust plan that challenges the leading edge of our ultrasound innovations in hardware and software technology, while harnessing the strengths of Philips within our Healthcare IT businesses and the strength of strategic partnerships.

+ In addition to developing and directing a ventures team reporting to him/her, you will collaborate with key BG partners including marketing, sales, R&D, business development, and other key functions to identify and drive revenue growth from venture opportunities. You will have the opportunity to fully use Ultrasound's strong cross-business group functional resources including operations, quality, regulatory, legal, finance and others to ensure the Venture team is supported by the breadth and depth of Philips capabilities.

+ You will have the responsibility for the realization of the offerings developed through the venture and the successful introduction of these products in the market(s) to support realization of business strategy.

+ With input from our R&D and Business Development teams, you will take the lead in analyzing the market, regulatory changes, competition, technology and developments, in order define the strategy and offerings that support the development and realization of a strong 3-5 year business plan.

+ As needed, you will lead the definition and execution of market research to strengthen the validity of both the portfolio and specific offerings. S/he will prepare and plan, together with the sales channels in the markets the needed efforts to drive effective market seeding, introduction and lifecycle management for a customer centric new business.

**Skills and Experience**


+ Master's degree preferred with 15 + years professional experience business management/product management/strategy & innovation/product marketing either in the healthcare information system or medical device space, including experience in a regulated environment.

+ Experience in Ultrasound (U/S) clinical knowledge with echo quantification, image processing, machine learning and imaging workflow expertise a plus

+ Demonstrated entrepreneurial behavior throughout of the box thinking and tenacity to find solutions to problems both within and outside the company. Creative in problem solving.

+ Ability to inspire and motivate a team to success, integrate humor in the moments of tension, and to draw the very best from each team member

+ Knowledge of the value proposition and customer journey methodologies

+ Ability to work in a hands-on collaborative fashion with many different disciplines both inside and outside of the company

+ A commensurate problem solver with a high sense of responsibility to deliver impactful results, often through influence and highly effective collaboration

+ First-hand strategic and operating experience and a validated capability to wear many hats and have the capacity to drive numerous complex projects forward at a time

+ Strong track-record of senior relationship management including frequent and longitudinal engagement with executives and/or major customers

+ Experience in negotiating with customers and third-party organizations, as well as management and influence of senior level leaders (in company and external)

+ Experience working across organizational boundaries, as well as working in a global organization across various cultures and departments.

+ Attention to detail and strong eye for quality
